Refund Policy

OUT in Costa Rica provides digital content, directory listings, and concierge-style services that often involve personalized matches and referral labor. Because of this, our refund policy varies based on the service.

1. Free Services

Many of our offerings — including browsing the directory, reading guides, or making general inquiries — are completely free and require no refunds.

2. Paid Business Listings & Upgrades

Paid listings, featured placements, or sponsorship packages may include:

  • Setup time

  • Profile creation

  • Verification

  • Editorial writing

  • Referral onboarding

For this reason:

Refunds are not available once services have begun or your listing has gone live.

However, if you made an accidental duplicate purchase, contact us within 48 hours and we’ll help resolve it.

3. Concierge Travel or Relocation Assistance

If you book a paid consultation, planning service, or customized itinerary:

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of purchase: Full refund

  • Cancellations after 24 hours: Non-refundable

  • If OUT in Costa Rica cancels or cannot deliver the service, you will receive a full refund

4. Third-Party Bookings

If you book hotels, tours, rentals, immigration services, or other offerings through partners, their refund policies apply — not ours.

We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party cancellations

  • Refunds

  • Policies or fees
